Enjoy life programs: why they are important
When it comes to representing themselves on their resume, hobbies, sports and interests are the category of information that job seekers sometimes neglect. Some job seekers never suspect that they can demonstrate strength, skill, attitude and vision using these attributes. When they present this information on their resume, they do not give their interests the weight that they deserve. Likewise, some human resource executives are not paying attention to this category and wasting potential.

We are the products of everything that composes our life: family, friends, accomplishments, and goals. Hobbies, sports and interests have a major influence on our lives and effectively shape us and reflect us as people. These pastimes are indicators of our personality, attitude and vision. They demonstrate preferences such as independence and teamwork; conservative versus liberal; aggressive or passive. They are the medium by which people develop. More and more, we are realizing these aspects as a tools for professional human resource development.

We incorporate our employees' hobbies, sports and interests into our company's philosophy: good heart-work hard-enjoy life. Enjoy life is really based on two ideas: the point of life is to live with enjoyment, and enjoying life is essential to employee performance and retention. Every time you incorporate a new activity into your life, your attitude and vision are redefined--sometimes sharpened. And it is vision that directs the company. Therefore, our company always funds some type of employee interest. Among others, we help fund employee interests in golf, diving, fitness, sailing and classical music.
