Education
While candidates with high grade point average(GPA) have tendency to perform better because of their talent, they also have tendency to perform worse because of their attitude. It is not easy to really make the right interpretation from education records. It is also difficult to set criteria for hiring based on education background. Let's go through the basis interpretation carefully and find out our own solution to this matter.
Education is the base of knowledge. It is important for the candidate throughout his/her career. The level of education tells how well a person is prepared before stepping into his/her career. Master degree usually has the edge over bachelor degree in terms of getting more academic training. And as a result of more academic training, the candidate usually tends to have more structural thinking.
The country, such as U.S.A., UK, Australia, Thailand etc., and name of the university such as Harvard Business School, Oxford, The University of Southern

Queensland, Chulalongkorn University, are the credentials of the education
system. Studying in a country that has a reputable academic system is more reliable, and the name of the university is also an important issue, especially if it is in the top ten or top five of that country. The HR executive will use them as criteria to weigh the G.P.A.
Faculty and major of the degree are also important as they show the basic knowledge that relates directly to the offered position. People who graduate from business school in marketing are more likely to work in marketing position than those who don't. Most HR executives will stick to this tendency, and most jobs are offered to those who have the required education in the related field rather than those who graduated from another fields.
